Edith Arlene Budd Birdsall, "Lady", age 83, went home on Tuesday, October 3, 2000, in Salt Lake City.
She was born October 10, 1916, to Gerald Jesse and Marie Hansen Budd.
She married Homer Gilbert Birdsall Jr. on May 21, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Edith was a dev-oted member of the LDS Church, holding a variety of positions. Her favorite, was working with the children in Jr. Sunday School and Primary. Edith loved to dance, sew and quilt. She was a wonderful mother and a truly devoted grandmother. She will be greatly missed!
Edith and Homer had three daughters, Kathy (Glade) Symes, Connie (Fred) Johnson and Linda (Patrick) Hearty. They had ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four siblings. Edith is survived by her children, grandchildren and one sister, Betty Carlson.
Services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2000, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, at 12 noon. Friends are invited to visit Friday, Oct. 6th, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., at the mortuary. Edith will be buried beside her husband in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
