For the past several years Evelyn has been in declining health, a situation made easier, she often said, by the devotion of her husband Paul. Until he passed away, he was always by her side, caring for her, and brightening her days with his quick wit and humor. After his death, she was served in her illness by her sister Hazel Ellison and many dedicated, tireless caregivers. She is forever grateful for their loving service.

Evelyn's last few years on earth were brightened by the love and devotion of a grandson, Jason Mazuran, his wife Angie and great-grandson Lucas. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Lou Jean McKay Blood and David J. Ellison of Salt Lake City, Ann M. and Steve P. Zupan and Alice H. Mazuran of Midvale, and John M. and Dorothy Mazuran of Palm Desert, California. She had a close relationship with her nieces and nephews, who also survive, including Russell and Judy Blood, Charlotte, North Carolina; David and Sally Ellison, Portola Valley, California; Jim and Carole Ellison, Washington, D.C.; and Janet Ellison and Sandy Mackenzie and Tom and Susan Ellison of Salt Lake City. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Dr. Russell H. Blood and Alan B. Blood; sister Hazel B. Ellison; sister-in-law Kay H. Blood; brother-in-law Joseph M. Mazuran.
