"Girls in the House," an annual benefit concert honoring Utahns who have or have had cancer, will be held Friday, Oct. 27, at Lazy Moon Pub, 32 Exchange St.
Sponsored by Indiegrrl, the largest cooperative of women in the independent music industry, the concert brings together Stacey Board, Melissa Warner, Gina French and Georgette Dashiell, four local artists who bring "strong" and "knowing" vocals together to raise money for Cancer Wellness House, a nonprofit organization that provides free resources to those whose lives have been affected by cancer.
Funds are raised through sale of tickets, which cost $6 in advance and $8 the day of the show. They are available at the Cancer Wellness House (call 801-236-2294, Ext. 16), at the Lazy Moon or Salt City CDs.
