Case in point: With the Spice Girls' new CD, "Forever," fading fast, Mel C all but put a fork in the band when she let it slip on a Brit TV talk show that she's quit the group, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

"Actually, I have been luckier since I left — well, since I've been doing my own thing," she said.

Sporty Spice tried to take back her words but admitted: "We've got a lot of very young fans, and I don't want to upset them, but I find it hard to keep it all in."
