LAYTON<! > --Dean Street Lee, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grand-father, died Dec. 29, 2000 at Manor Care in Ogden, Utah of natural causes.
He was born April 1, 1923 to Maurice Clive and Sarah Leora Street Lee, in Hoytsville, UT. Dad served in World War II in Africa and the European Campaign. He married Faye Morris. They were later divorced. They had one daughter, Carolyn (Bill) Olsen, Murray. He married Doris Tripp Sept. 8, 1946 in Richmond, UT. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 30, 1969. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dean retired from Hill Air Force Base and the Layton Dairy Queen. To many kids and missionaries, he became known as the bicycle man.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of 54 years; and his five children, Michael (Cathy) Lee, Kaysville, Marsha Shaffer, Clearfield, Steven Lee, Panguitch, Patti (Stephen) Rollins, Layton, Brad (Karen) Lee, Kaysville; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grand-children; a sister, Maxine Southern; and a brother, Gail (Genevieve) Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Amy; and his brother, Max Lee.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wed. Jan 3, 2001, Layton LDS 11th Ward chapel, 60 W. Gordon, Bishop Dennis Powell officiating. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd and 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park, Layton, where military honors will be accorded.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to the staff of Manor Care for their loving care they gave Dad.
