MAGNA --Wendell Bruce Marcy, 76, died February 10, 2000.

He was born December 14, 1923 in Ramah, Colorado to Chester L. and Opal Vivian Ray Marcy. He married Joyce Egbert August 4, 1951 in Logan, Utah. Wendell served during World War II as a paratrooper. He attended college in Boulder, and worked at the VA hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. He retired from Kennecott Copper after 30 years. He enjoyed antique cars and collecting coins. He could talk to anyone, including strangers, for hours. He loved his horses and dogs, and he especially loved his grand babies.Survived by his wife; children, Michael (Julie) Marcy, Carol Jensen, Robert (Gayleen) Marcy, and Diane Marcy; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, and sister, Elma Louise Marcy.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2000, 12 noon at the Magna Stake Center, 8181 West 3320 South. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and Tuesday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church.
