Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on February 19, 2000 of causes related to a series of strokes.

Millie was born on March 4, 1915 in Cedar City, Utah, the third of seven sisters born to John Cory and Rachel Bryant Gower. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters. She married George Owen Reese on Aug. 16, 1935 in Cedar City, Utah. He preceded her in death in 1945. She married Rudy Stephan on Nov. 18, 1960.Millie was widowed at age 30 and supported herself and two daughters as a drapery seamstress for Auerbachs. In 1948, Millie graduated from Ex-Cel-Cis Beauty School and began a lifelong career as a beautician. She was the owner and operator of the Modern Beauty Shop in Murray, and in later years, had a shop in her home. Millie was ahead of her time as a successful business woman. She graduated from Cedar City High School and continued her education at B.A.C. in Cedar City.

She derived great joy from her family and her home. Her home always had room for "one more." Millie was a talented artist and skilled craftperson. Many of her artistic creations are still cherished by her family and friends.

Millie is survived by her husband, Rudy; two daughters, Rae (Jim) Healy, and Georgia (LaVar) Swensen, all of Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Belle Davis, Kanarraville, and Idonna (Frank) Williamson, Las Vegas.
