Albert curia, age 70, passed away on February 21, 2000 at his home in Salt Lake City.

Born June 17, 1929 in Kenilworth, Utah to Giovanni Battista Curia and Maria Fratto Curia. Married Carol Jean Anderson Sept. 7, 1957, in Salt Lake. Albert left this earth after many years of battling heart disease.He was a devoted, loyal and loving husband, father, grand-father and friend. Raised in Carbon County, he enlisted in the US Army Jan. 23, 1951, served in the Korean Conflict, and was honorably discharged Aug. 22, 1956. He attended Salt Lake Vocational School and went to work for Wheeler Machinery. He took a medical retirement after 28 years of working as "Cat" diesel mechanic and instructor.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Tony; daughter, Debi (Jack Kerr); sister, Mary Bertolina; brother, Charles (Rose) Curia; five grandchildren, David, Michael, Joey, Bobby and Therese; one great grandson, Jeremy.

Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Frank, Sam, Pete, Joe, Tony, Buddy, and sister, Marietta.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of The Madeleine 309 East South Temple. A vigil service will be held Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6-7:30 p.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery 4th Ave & N Street.
