David Andrew Christensen passed away from his earthly experience on Feb. 21, 2000 in Salt Lake City.

He was the second child of Richard Drew and Lynda Love Christensen. He was born on Feb. 8, 1964 in Morgantown, W.V.David was edu-cated in the Salt Lake school system graduating from East High School in 1982 where he was Senior Class president, a member of the 4-A Basketball State Championship Team, All-Star 2nd Baseman and member and captain of the State 4-A Golf Championship Teams his Junior and Senior years. He was an East High Seminary graduate.

He graduated from the U of U with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He was affiliated with the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the San Bernardino California Mission. He was married to Susan K. DeVries in the Salt Lake Temple July 14, 1987, later divorced.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Love; parents; grandmother, Maurine R. Christensen; and brothers and sisters, Paul R. (Sylvia), Jennifer Love Gochnour (Brian), William F. (Nanci), Christopher J. (Michelle) and Annie Jane Frazier (Jason); his best friend and fiance, Christopher Anne Scott; loving nieces and nephews, Henry, Greta, Christian, Emma, Charlie, Cooper and Oliver.

Preceded in death by brother, Michael Thomas; nephew, Richard Oscar Christensen, and grandparents, David and Ada Love; Drew Christensen; favorite uncle, Dr. Michael Hugh Christensen.

He will be remembered for his supreme love for his daughter Elizabeth, his quick wit, his thirst for knowledge which he openly shared with his students, his love of books, his loyalty and his devotion to light and truth.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 25, 2000 at 12 noon at the Monument Park 14th Ward, 2255 South Wasatch Drive (2700 E.). Friends may call Thursday evening, February 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the ward Friday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
