Bertha Mae Andersen Ashby passed away February 4, 2000, of heart failure.
Bertha was born February 3, 1913, in Box Elder County, Utah, to Charles Andrew Andersen and Susannah Elizabeth Malmrose. She married William Tovey Ashby on October 1, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah.She is preceded in death by her husband, William Tovey Ashby, Sept. 18, 1990; sisters, Pearl Susannah Andersen Heaton, Anna Marquerite Andersen Petersen; and brothers, Floyd Charles Andersen, Clarence Richard Andersen, Normon Phil Andersen, Oscar Alvin Andersen, Carl Arthur Andersen.
Bertha is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Andersen Jensen of Brigham City, UT, Lucille Andersen Kuhns of East Carbon, UT; one daughter, Kathleen Ashby Cottam (Steven), Murray, UT; six grandchildren, Kevin Brent Cottam (JaNae), Woonsocket, RI; Karin Cottam Davies (Ron) Spanish Fork, UT; Kristine Cottam Magill (Troy), West Valley City, UT; Kendall James Cottam (Melanie), Draper, UT; Kent Richard Cottam, Murray, UT; Kyle Matthew Cottam, serving a mission in South Korea; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to extend their gratitude for the care given to her at St. Joseph Villa, especially Dave and Mark. Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday February 8, 2000 at Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 So. State. There will be a viewing one hour prior to services.
