The 2000 MS Walk for Multiple Sclerosis will be held Saturday, April 15, in six cities throughout the state.
Participants may register online www.utah-nmss.org or by calling the Utah Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at 801-493-0113. Registration also will be accepted at 8 a.m. the day of the walk. Those who sign up are expected to collect donations for MS research and services for Utahns affected by the disease. The state hopes to raise about $150,000.More than 200,000 people in 650 sites across the country are expected to take part in the walk. Organizers anticipate about 2,000 Utahns will participate in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, Vernal, Cedar City and St. George. The walk begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be 3.2 miles to nine miles long depending on the city.
