Alfred Steiger, Sr. died March 25, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born June l9, l9l8 to Jochem and Jantje Steiger in Salt Lake City at his home. He married Dorothy Backus, deceased, and later Afton Wohlfarth, also deceased.Al worked as an auto-body repairman and was a skilled craftsman, working in many different fields. He was a member of the Palomino Posse Police and the LDS Church.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Pieter and Clarence and survived by sisters, Jennie, Pauline, Eloise and Florence. He will be greatly missed by children, (Dorothy) Gerri, Roy, and Al, Jr; and (Afton) Donna, Rose, Joyce and Lyn; also many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, at 12 noon. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 340l South Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah
