Ira Wesley Graf, age 81, left this life to be with our Heavenly Father on March 27, 2000, after a brave and valiant battle with cancer for 27 years. Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend was loved and admired by all.

Ira was born in Ansley, Nebraska March 16, 1919 to Wilhelm Julius Graf and Carrie May McCullough. He mar-ried his childhood sweetheart and best friend, Clara Acker-man, of 63 years on Nov 30, 1937 and moved to Salt Lake City, UT. Ira was a veteran of World War II and proud to serve his country. He retired from Mountain Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company after 37 years as a cable splicer supervisor.His joys in life were his family, fishing, hunting, bowling, gardening and photography. He lived a full life and will be sorely missed by his family whom loved and appreciated him with all their hearts.

Ira is survived by his loving wife, Clara; three children, Robert (Bob) Graf, Darlene (Dee) West and Valerie Remels Tirocchi; 10 grandchildren, Scott, Shane, Cody, Troy, Kristy, Nick, Andy, Adam, Vanessa, and Christopher; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie (Dale) May and Mable Chelewski and brother Marvin (Jeanette) Graf of Nebraska, who all adored him. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Steven and Clair Graf; sister, Mildred Lee; and brother, Everet Graf.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2000, 2 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the Mortuary. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
