PARK CITY -- Nutraceutical International Corp., a maker of vitamins and other consumer-health products, said it acquired some assets of Thompson Nutritional Products, a unit of Rexall Sundown Inc.
Terms weren't disclosed. Thompson makes and markets vitamins, minerals, nutritional supplements and health-related products. Nutraceutical said it will revise and expand Thompson's product line and add products to those already sold in health food stores.Park City, Utah-based Nutraceutical sells products under the names Solaray, NaturalMax, VegLife, Natural Sport and Action Labs to health-food stores in the U.S.
Shares of Nutraceutical, which have fallen 13 percent in the past year, today were unchanged at 3 1/2. Boca Raton, Florida-based Rexall Sundown rose 1/16 to 23 13/16. The announcement was made after the close of regular U.S. trading.
