CINCINNATI (AP) -- A businessman has been charged with the bludgeoning death of his high-school sweetheart 37 years ago.
Michael Wehrung, 52, was indicted on a second-degree murder charge Tuesday. He's accused of killing 15-year-old Patricia Ann Rebholz, who was beaten to death with a 2-foot-long fence post in 1963."In the pursuit of a killer, the clock never stops," said Hamilton County Prosecutor Mike Allen. "The passage of time should not deny justice to Patty Rebholz."
Wehrung, also 15 at the time, was interviewed by police after Patricia's body was found in a vacant lot about a half-block from his house. Although he was not charged, police publicly questioned the story he told about waiting by his living-room window for her.
