Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, John Neal Olsen, was taken from us early Saturday morning May 27, 2000.
He was born on October 13, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1973. John worked in the plaster and stucco business for 25 years, leaving the mark of his craftsmanship throughout the valley. Hunting and fishing were a very big part of his life. Most of all he loved each and every one of his children and new grandson.John is survived by his wife, Tammy Olsen; his five children, Nick (24), Nathan (19), Nicole (19), J.J. (8), and Dillon (5); two stepchildren, Amber and Chris; his grandson, Carson (10 mos.); his parents, Connie and Leroy Cooley of Taylorsville, Utah; Jack and Peggy Olsen of Lehi, Utah; his brothers, Kevon, Mike, Rod, Bill, Randy; sisters, Tami, Jackie, Paige; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Orchard Second Ward LDS Chapel, 3707 South 800 West, Bountiful. You may pay your respects to John and his family on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Zion's Bank, Main Street Branch.
