LOGAN - Carmen A. Elias Reich, 83, died peacefully, Monday, June 5, 2000.

She was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, February 20, 1917. She will be greatly missed but we are grateful for the new found peace and the reunion with loved ones who have been gone for so long.At age 36 she lost her husband, Iwan Victor Reich, renown German musician. She courageously raised her two daughters and embraced the message brought by two LDS missionaries in 1954 in Frankfurt, Germany.

She became the pioneer LDS member in her family.

Carmen was always active in the LDS Church and a true gospel scholar.

She had many callings and in her mature years was an expert in genealogy and name extraction.

She traveled the world, lived in Europe, San Francisco, and finally settled in Logan, Utah, close to her friend and sister, Lisa.

Her generosity and quiet kindness will never be forgotten.

She was a small person in stature but a woman of great integrity and an example of righteousness to her family.
