Three people were injured in two separate shootings overnight in Salt Lake City.

Curtis Moton, 22, West Valley City, called for medical assistance after he was shot at a home, 1425 W. Arapahoe Avenue (640 South) just before 11 p.m. Thursday.

Two suspects, ages 19 and 21, arrested for investigation of a separate crime, were believed to be involved in Thursday night's shooting, Hill said. Investigators found several rounds around the house where Moton was shot. Moton was taken to LDS Hospital in poor condition, according to Salt Lake Police Sgt. Jim Hill.

Rauel Cruz, 23, and Jose Alvarado, 21, were shot near 650 S. 600 East as they were walking in a group of about 10 people Friday morning at 1:30 a.m. The group apparently met four or five men as they were walking and one of the men fired a shotgun, hitting Cruz and Alvarado, Hill said.
