SPRING GLEN-- Albert Sacco "Uncle Al", age 82, passed away on August 28, 2000 at the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born July 20, 1918 in Sunnyside, Utah to Rosario and Rosina Bonacci Sacco. Member Catholic Church. Life long resident of Car-bon County, where he was actively involved in the Democratic Party and was awarded Carbon County Democrat of the year in 1998.
Retired employee of D&RGW, where he was a member of Brotherhood of Mainten-ance. Served U.S. Army during World War II, from Normandy to Berlin. Honorary life member Price Elks Lodge #1550 and life member V.F.W. Price Post #2379. "Uncle Al" was actively involved in livestock and ranching business in Carbon County with Sacco Brothers Ranch.
Survived by: brother, Vic Sacco, Spring Glen; sister, Sylvia Edwards, Spokane, WA; sister-in-law, Bessie Sacco, Spring Glen; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and a community of friends. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Hugo, Richard, Ross, Rudy, Louie and sisters, Mary Stella, Min nie Lodeserto and Lena Kryscio.
Funeral Mass Friday, September 1, 2000, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. Vigil service Thursday evening 7 p.m. Mitchell Chapel, where friends are welcome daily from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Committal service Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 5 South Main, Helper, Utah.
