Our beloved and devoted Mother, Ione Torgerson LeFevre Henrie returned to our Heavenly Father August 28, 2000 at age 84.
Born on April 1, 1916 in Burrville Utah to Anton and Heilda Gulbransen Torgerson. Married Walter Dame LeFevre on November 22, 1934 in the Manti Temple. He died August 1, 1951. Children of Walter and Ione are Walter D. (Cleo) LeFevre, Monroe UT., Roger A. (Linda) LeFevre, Sandy UT., Karen A. (Erris) Dissel, Murray UT., Larry K. (Kim) LeFevre, West Valley City UT., J. Lorraine (Alden) Kapp, W. Jordan UT. Married Arvel Henrie on February 27, 1952 in Salina UT. He died March 18, 1993. Arvel's children with Dawna Perkins (deceased Dec. 23, 1950) are John A. (Melissa) Henrie, Pleasant Grove UT., Arlene McGill, Taylorsville, UT. Children of Arvel and Ione Henrie are Craig C. (Tonya) Henrie, So. Jordan UT. and Camille Henrie Gates, Holladay UT.
Survived by 26 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren whom she loved deeply. Also survived by three sisters; Reba Edwards, Corpus Christi, TX., Lula DeLong, Moab UT. and Aleen (Clyde) Okerlund, Richfield UT. Sister-in-Law Wila Torgerson and Brother-in-Law Maitlon Dall. Preceded in death by husbands Walter Dame LeFevre, Arvel Henrie and grandson Jeff Ricks. Sisters and Brothers Bertha Reich, Lucille Hansen, Jean Dall, Herbert Torgersen and Ivan Torgersen.
Mother was happiest when surrounded by her family and cherished children. She enjoyed fishing camping and the outdoors. Mother loved her flower and vegetable gardens, was a good homemaker and worked very hard to help provide for her family. Mother was resourceful, thrifty and particular about everything she did. Mother was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held a current temple recommend. She held many church callings throughout her lifetime and it gave her great joy serving her Heavenly Father.
Funeral services will be held Thurs. August 31, 2000 at 10 a.m. at the Kearns 4th Ward, 4660 W. 5015 S. Kearns, UT. Friends may call at McDougal's Mortuary, 4330 South Redwood Rd. Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday morning one hour prior to services to be held at the Church. Interment Elsinore Cemetery, Elsinore Utah at 4:30 p.m. August 31, 2000.
