Ending a month of quarantine after their arrival from China, giant pandas Tian Tian, top, and Mei Xiang debut to a cooing crowd at the National Zoo in Washington Wednesday. On the morning they met the American public, the two pandas ate for an hour and a half and took a nap. But keepers who have been observing them since they arrived from China say they wrestle and playfully bite and swat each other.
