Meik Rapp has been appointed vice president of the Utah Food Industry Association, and he will oversee staff, programs and services. He has twice been named Utah Grocer of the Year by the Manufacturers' Representatives Club.

Richard Kinnersley, president of UHA, Utah Hospitals and Health Systems Association, has been chosen to chair SHAEF, the State Hospital Association Executives Forum for 2001. He has 33 years of experience in the industry.

Diane Matthews, a realtor with the Bountiful office of Mansell & Associates, is the 2001 president of the Utah Certified Residential Specialists.

Greg Kloberdanz and Jeff Scarborough, have joined Stantec Consulting as senior project managers in the urban land development division.

Mark Buchi has been named chairman of the executive committee for the international law firm of Holme Roberts & Owen. He will manage 200 attorneys and five offices in the United States and Europe.

There have been some personnel changes at Goldenwest Credit Union. Kerry Wahlen has been named senior vice president, having formerly served as vice president of loans. Darren Godfrey has been chosen to be vice president and chief financial officer. He formerly was vice president over accounting and information systems. Richard Evans has been appointed vice president of Lending. He previously was the assistant credit manager.

Charles Bagley and Larry Oldham Jr., formerly intern architects with Thomas Petersen Hammond (TPH) Architects, have received their architectural licenses. Bagley received his from the Utah State Licensing Board and Oldham from the Arizona Licensing Board.

Spencer Jacobs has been chosen to be an interactive art director, and Mike Condit has become a quality-assurance technician at EURO RSCG Dahlin Smith White (DSW) Partners.

Courtney Healy has been appointed area funeral counselor at Lakeview Memorial Park, which is owned by Memorial Estates, which in turn is part of Security National Financial Corp. The holding company includes life insurance, mortgage, mortuary and cemetery options.

Two architectural organizations have chosen Salt Lake City architects to be president of their respective groups. AIA Utah, a Society of the American Institute of Architects, has chosen Timothy Thomas to be president for 2001. David Dixon has been elected president of the Salt Lake Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Thomas is a principal of the Salt Lake firm Thomas Petersen Hammond (TPH) Architects. Dixon is president and principal architect of Dixon & Associates, a Salt Lake firm.

Greg Fredde has been chose to be president of the Utah Mining Association by the board of directors. He is filling the position previously occupied by Tom Bingham, who now is president of the Utah Manufacturers Association.

Bill Boyd, owner of the SUBWAY store in Payson, has been chosen chairman of the Utah SUBWAY market's five-member advertising board. There are 120 SUBWAY stores in Utah, which puts it among the top 10 percent in the country for number of stores.

There have been some personnel changes at Learnframe, a developer e-Learning infrastructure technologies. A high-tech industry veteran Ralph Mason has been chosen as the president. The former president, Gary Tobian, has been promoted to chief operating officer. Kimberly Stilson has been promoted to vice president of marketing and communications. John McCarthy is the new director of research; Carrie Smith is the new director of integrated marketing; Ron Wilson is the new director of corporate relations; and Teresa Almond is the new director of marketing communications.

PowerQuest Corp., a provider of storage management solutions, has chosen Kelly Devereaux as vice president of marketing and sales. Devereaux has 16 years of experience in the industry.

Gregg Lofgran has been appointed director of sales for Hotel Monaco and will handle sales, marketing, customer relations and business development for the 225-room hotel that is located in downtown Salt Lake City. He has been in the industry for 10 years.

John Merlino has joined Synygy Inc., The Incentive Compensation Company, as district manager for Utah, Nevada and the Silicon Valley. The firm sells software and services to help companies manager their incentive compensation plans.
