M. Sean Sullivan has joined the law firm of Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough. Sullivan received his law degree from Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark School of Law and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1998. His practice will include the areas of trusts, wills, business succession planning, probate, charitable giving and tax law.
Ross I. Romero, an attorney with Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, recently was appointed to serve as a member of the Salt Lake City Board of Adjustment. The board provides help to property owners regarding zoning regulations.

Beehive Credit Union announced that Lin Steffey was promoted to branch manager of its Parley's Way office. Steffey has five years of experience in the banking industry, having worked as teller, loan officer and assistant branch manager. Beehive Credit Union operates nine branch locations in Utah.
Elizabeth Kitchens, an attorney with Parsons Behle & Latimer, was named 2001-2002 mining chairwoman of the energy, natural resources and environmental section of the Utah State Bar. Michael J. Malmquist, also of Parsons Behle & Latimer, will serve as public lands chairman. Hal J. Pos was honored as outgoing chairman of the energy, natural resources and environmental law section. Pos serves as treasurer of Parsons Behle & Latimer and is a member of the firm's board of directors.
The Downtown Alliance of Salt Lake City has hired David Baird as its new director of economic development. Baird will work to advocate downtown development and oversee the alliance's new Economic Development Center. The center is scheduled to open in time for February's 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Baird is a graduate of the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business MBA program.

U.S. Bank has named Joseph Urvina and Clary Cook as branch managers in the bank's Salt Lake City metro district. Urvina previously served as sales and service manager at the bank's Sandy branch. Cook previously served as sales and service manager and personal banker.
