Romulo Dominguez Jr. loving father and grandfather passed away October 30, 2001 at the age of 80. Born Nov. 18, 1920 in Chamisal, NM. to Romulo Sr. and Elosia Dominguez.
Married Lillian Ortega Nov. 6, 1940 in Chamisal, NM. She preceded him in death November 11, 2000. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the pacific. Worked as a driller and blaster at Kennecott Copper for 43 years and retired in 1984. Member of United Steel Workers Union # 485. Romulo enjoyed doing mechanic work and carpentry in his home. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar and "fiddled" with the violin. He also liked his vacations with his family. His family remembers him as always providing for them, even when times were lean. Romulo was a member of the LDS church.
Survived by children: Dora (Archie) Poulsen, Roma Martinez and Ray, Roy (Laura) Dominguez, John (Donna) Dominguez, Helen (Michael) Christensen, Bernida (Randy) Lloyd, Paul (Lola) Dominguez, Robert Dominguez and Debbie (Amadeo) Maestas; 37 grandchildren; 25 great-grand-children; brother Ralph; sisters, Josephine, Edilia, Stella and Roma. Preceded in death by his wife Lillian, four children, Albert, Freddy, Elanor, and an infant son.
Services Saturday, November 3, 2001, 11 a.m. at the Heritage LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 7645 South 3200 West. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Saturday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
