Cowboy poets and other buckaroos will be meeting in Heber Nov. 7-11 for the 7th annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering & Buckaroo Fair. Activities include a dutch-oven competition and dinner; cowboy poetry and music concerts, including appearances by Waddie Mitchell, Don Edwards, Baxter Black and the Bar J Wranglers; a train ride; horse demonstrations and more.

In addition, a Boot-Kickin' Dance, sponsored by Twice the Caliber Riding Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for charitable institutions, is scheduled Friday, Nov. 9, from 9 p.m. until midnight. Music will be supplied by KSOP's Bill Buckley.

Throughout the gathering raffle tickets for a handmade Irish saddle, donated by the club, will be available.
