Wanda Wan Hong died peacefully at home of pneumonia on October 31, 2001.
She was a beloved daug-hter, sister, and aunt. Wanda was born July 31, 1950 in Salt Lake City to Raymond H. and Heng T. Hong. She was the second of nine children.
She was a graduate of South High School. She attended the University of Utah and earned a scholarship to The New York School of Interior Design. She also was a graduate of Cosmetology school in Salt Lake City. She had a great love of learning and beauty. Wanda was devoted to her family, her cats, and to her friends. She did beautiful needlework and many friends and family have afghans that she made for them.
She is survived by her parents, her sisters, Rose Chin (Dennis), Francis Wylie (Butch), Summer Borla (James), Kim Wu, Grace Vlasich (James), Lily Hatch (Kellan), brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Denise Hong. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will always remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her younger sister Joyce.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 12 noon, Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 E. South Temple. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, one hour before the service. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
