Jean Hess Groberg, 78, passed away on December 12, 2001.

She was born Dec 16, 1922 to Robert and Lula Hess in Ogden, UT. She married Richard Groberg Oct 8, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She loved quilting and mak-ing cookies for her grandchil-dren. She was a champion at can-ning pickles.

She is survived by her sister, Lenna (Claude) Hill, RedBluff, CA; 11 children, Lynn (Diana) Groberg, Sparks, NV, Diane Sommers, Reno, NV, Kenneth (Linda) Groberg, Clinton, UT, Margie (Jack) Parrish, Alberton, MT, Janna Huff, Centerville, UT, Sidney Keith (Candace) Groberg, Farmington, UT, Donnell (Bryce) Taggart, Kaysville, UT, Annette (Larry) Criddle, Centerville, UT, Pamela (Lloyd) Shaw, Bountiful, UT, Michael (Bobbie) Groberg, Midway, UT, Lani (Jan) Colledge, Morgan, UT; daughter-in-law, Nancy Groberg, North Salt Lake, UT; 38 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard; brothers, Keith, Ray, Jay Hess; parents; son, Rick; and grandson, John Andy.

We will miss her. Special thanks to the loving care Mary gave to Mom.

Services will be Mon. Dec 17, 2001, 12 noon, Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Family and friends may call 10-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
