Our Mom, Lena Baum Storrs, 87, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at her home, after an extended illness.

She was born February 20, 1914 in Pleasant View (Provo), Utah, a daughter of Lafeyett and Martha JoElla Lott Baum. She married George Harold Storrs,, February 20, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death May 22, 1985.

She grew up on a fruit farm in Orem, spending many hours picking strawberries as a young girl. She attended schools there being an excellent student and finished her education at Lincoln High School. Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Relief Society Presidency and other callings. She was a faithful member attending church and the temple until her health would no longer permit.

She moved to American Fork where she resided until her death.

Mom and Dad had a farm with Dad's brother and sister-in-law, Alton and Juanita Storrs. She and Dad were custodian's for the old American Fork 2nd and 7th Wards. One of Mom's greatest loves along with her family, was her yard, where she spent many hours. They had won "Yard of the Month" several years. Many people drove by her home to see the beautiful flowers. She was known as the "Flower Lady" by the children in the neighborhood. She was a good cook and always had a treat to give her family and friends.
