Applications for the Papa John's Scholars Program are available from local high school counselors. Deadline is Jan. 28.
Papa John's Pizza Restaurants award $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors across the country and one $10,000 scholarship. Any student with a 2.5 grade point average may apply.
The program is designed to look beyond grades and test scores to such criteria as creative ability, community involvement, obstacles overcome, leadership and character.
