Norma Pehrson Harman, 93, died Jan. 30, 2001.

Born Aug. 15, 1907 to Heber and Elizabeth Larsen Pehrson in Fairview, Utah, the ninth of twelve children. She graduated from Old LDS High School and the U of U. She taught school in Salt Lake City for four years. Married David Byron Harman in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Aug. 3, 1932, later solemnized in the Provo Utah Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in Stake Relief Society twice in East Jordan and in Midvale Stake for six years. She was a member of Midvale Ladies Community Club for many years and was correspondence secretary. Her greatest joy was baking for her family. She baked brownies on her 93rd birthday. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her "Gigi" the "Cookie Maker". She believed in laughter and had a good sense of humor. In her early youth she was a Tribune reporter at Riverside School.

She is survived by sons, David B. Jr. (Elaine), Rodney G. (Renay); five grandchildren, Gary (Michelle), Midvale; Steve (Sharolyn), South Jordan; Rick, Nashville, Tenn.; Lori (Brad) Maxfield, Draper; Shauna (Pierre) Albouy, Cannes, France; seven great-grandchildren, Stefanie Neeley (serving mission in El Salvador), Jamie Harman, Cottonwood; ColtonHarman, South Jordan; Sydnee and Tanner Maxfield, Draper; and Morgan and Emilie

Albouy, Cannes, France. She is the last of seven sisters. Survived by brother, Hugh A. Pehrson, the last of five brothers.

Funeral services Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at 12 noon in the Midvale 2nd Ward Chapel, 97 West 7500 South, where friends may call from 10:30-11:45a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
