Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Fred Hulbert, passed away on Feb. 11, 2001, from cancer.

He was born to Albert and Eva Hazel Olsen Hulbert on April 7, 1914 in Salt Lake City.

After graduating from South High School, he worked with his father and brother in the sheet metal business. He married Helen Gumm Hulbert on October 26, 1940. He joined the navy and served as a Seabee in the South Pacific during World War II. He came home and started his own business with his two brothers, Frank and Hal, known as Hulbert Bros. Sheet Metal.

Fred was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix most anything. He liked fishing, camping and taking a trip to Arizona in the wintertime. He worked hard all his life to provide for the needs of his family and others. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Elks #2344.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years; daughter, Kathy Adams; son, Scott Hulbert; granddaughters: Heidi (Brad) Fernelius, Emilie Hulbert and Lindsay Hulbert; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Josh, Merissa, Jennifer and Cason; brother, Hal and sister, Dorothy Jellison, both in California. Preceded in death by his brother, Frank.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Rocky Mountain Hospice or charity of your choice.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2001 at 12 noon in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive. Friends and family may call at the Mortuary, 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
