Luana S. Gonzales, age 70, passed away February 8, 2001 in Mesa, Arizona at a local hospital.
Luana was born June 17, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT., the daughter of Luana T. Wallis and George O. Smedley. She mar-ried Donald T.
Buckmiller, divorced and Jesse S.
Gonzales, divorced. Luana was best known for her compassionate ser-vice. She spent her life in service to others and her door was always open to those in need. She was a licensed caregiver.
Luana is survived by her children: Suzanne Milczarek (Darryl), Mesa, AZ; Barton Gonzales, Salt Lake City, UT; Jeffrey Gonzales, Denver, CO; sister, Georgia S. Rasmussen (Tom), Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Frank L. Smedley (Kay) Bountiful, UT; grandchildren, Chelsea and Elyse Milczarek, Mesa, AZ; and Courtland Milczarek, serving an LDS mission in Santiago, Chile. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Gonzales.
Services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2001 at 12 noon at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South). Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary Saturday, February 17, 2001 from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
