Our dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle,

Jozef Van der Meide, age 62, returned home peacefully on Thursday,

February 22,2001.

Jozef was born March 30, 1938 in Rotterdam, Holland to Pieter and Cornelia Vriens Van der Meide. In 1947 he came to the United States. He was preceded in death by his wife Jacquelyn

Monson Taylor. On Aug. 16, 1963, he married Pietje (Miep) Visser, in the Salt Lake LDS temple for time and all eternity. He will always be remembered for his patience, generosity, and his great love for his family.

Jozef was a faithful member of the LDS Church, where he held many positions.

Jozef is survived by his wife, Pietje; children Camille, Joseph (Oralia), Maria (John), Esther (Robert), Deborah (Jaime), Rachelle (Fredy); grandchildren, Raevynne, Lestat, T.J., Brennan, Hannah, Antonio, Stacee, Marleni, Marco, Stephanie, and is looking forward to the birth of another; brother, Benjamin (Annie); sisters-in-law, Petronella, Helen, and Ilene; brother-in-law, Jan Kip. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Linda, three brothers and two sisters.

He will be dearly missed by his family, and all who knew him, till we meet again.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001 11 a.m. at the Crescent North LDS Stake Center, 1050 East 10600 South, Sandy. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt. View Memorial Estates Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Independent Funeral Service.
