Steven Lee Sonne died peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2001, at his home with his wife by his side.

Steve was born on July 29, 1957, to Norman Lee and Enid H. Sonne. At the age of four, his family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. One of his chief loves was camping at Redfish Lake with his family and other friends. These camping trips were carried out for nine consecutive years. In 1970, his family moved back to Salt Lake where he graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1975. He went on to attend Westminister College and the University of Utah where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. His hobbies included tennis, golf, and camping. Steve married Patty Harris on June 4, 1997. Steve owned and operated Signs Plus where he used his skills as a graphic artist.

Steve is survived by his wife, his son Kevin, his parents, one sister, Jil (Dave) Ames, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents Alma and Geneva Sonne and Lorenzo and Ora Hanson.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 3rd, 2001, at the Holladay 3rd Ward, 4568 South Holladay Blvd. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2nd 2001, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the ward one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street.
