I had to stop and ponder the recent articles by the Animal Rights Group in California that say we should no longer consider ourselves as "pet owners." Apparently this is somehow demeaning to our pets. They suggest we begin to refer to our relationship with the animals we care for as their guardian.
I don't have a problem with this, but I would really like this group to give me some advice with another situation. How can I get my cat to quit thinking he owns me?
