Lewis Wyman Liston, 81, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, March 17, 2001.
Lewis the son of Mary and Perry Liston was born Sept 5, 1919, in Escalante, UT. He served his country and the U.S. Navy from Nov 6, 1940 to Dec 9, 1946. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor and was also pre-sent at the signing of the armistice ending the war at Tokyo Bay. He married Eleanor Louise Bailie, March 19, 1946. He loved fishing and hunting, and was devoted to his family. Lewis retired from Utah Power & Light in 1981 after 34 years.
Survived by wife, Eleanor Liston; children, Karen Lewis, Woodland, CA, Larry (Koni) Liston, Orangeville, Karol (Tom) Pace, North Salt Lake, Craig (Katherine) Liston, Salt Lake; and thirteen grandchildren. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Angela Pace.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at Larkin Sunset Lawn Chapel, 2350 E. 1300 S, where friends and family may call one hour prior to services.
