ANNABELLA, UTAH- <! > Robert Lee "Bob" Gleave, 93, long time Annabella, Utah resident, passed away March 26, 2001 in Hurricane, Utah.
Bob was born August 5, 1907 in Annabella to Frank and Partha Ann "Pat" Davis Gleave. He married Madge Johanna Anderson, June 30, 1928 in Junction, Utah. The marriage was solem-nized in the Manti LDS Temple, February 10, 1959 and she preceded him in death on June 1, 1994.
Bob and Madge are the parents of five children, three have preceded them in death: Robert Lee Gleave Jr, shortly after birth, Helen Shaw and most recently Ronald Gleave.
Bob began working in the mines at Bingham Canyon and Park City at the age of 15 returning home to Annabella at the age of 20. He since worked as a farmer and rancher; raising sheep, turkeys and cattle. His service in the church included working as the Annabella Ward Sunday School Superintendent, YMMIA President and Elders Quorum President. He enjoyed singing in the ward choir.
Surviving family members are son, Larry Gleave of Central Valley, Utah; daughter, Nancy (Elwin) Hoyle of Annabella; son-in-law, Deloy (Shirley) Shaw of Venice; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 19 great great-grandchildren.
Bob is also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Winford Gleave and Herbert Gleave; daughters-in-law, Patricia Gleave and Maxine Gleave; grandchildren, Matthew Gleave, twins, Midge and Mitzie Shaw; great-grandson, Patrick Gleave.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Annabella 2nd LDS Ward chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Annabella on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
