Blaine Butler, age 63, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away due to complications of
diabetes on Saturday, March 3, 2001 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Blaine was born July 11, 1937 in Spanish Fork, UT. to James Alma and Rose Johnson Butler. On February 14, 1958, he married Joy Francis in the Manti LDS Temple. They later divorced. Blaine graduated from Spanish Fork High School and served in the National Guard in Fort Hood, TX. He retired after 30 years as an awarded truck driver, receiving several safe-driving awards. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, and being close to friends.
Blaine is survived by one son and three daughters, Blake (Celeste Malloy) Butler, of St. Louis, MO., Kathryn Butler (Terrie Rauzon), Michelle Butler, and Suzette Butler all of Salt Lake City, UT; one granddaughter, Cassandra Eve Butler; one brother, Jay Lee. Preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters, Mildred Vickers, Belva Butler, Vilverge Butler, La Reta Peary, Loa Jean Olson, Carol Butler, Bliss Butler; one brother, Ray Butler.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call Friday morning, from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Interment: Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, UT.
