San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown is a new dad — at age 67.
Carolyn Carpeneti, 38, the mayor's chief fund-raising coordinator, gave birth Sunday to Sydney Minetta Brown, a 6-pound, 8-ounce girl.
"I am overjoyed at the arrival of this beautiful baby girl," Brown said in a statement.
He has been separated from his wife, Blanche, for 20 years. Brown has said he does not plan to divorce or get remarried. He has three grown children and two grandchildren.
