Marvin Donald Pease, oldest son of Don and Helen Pease, passed away April 12, 2001 in West Valley City, Utah.
Marvin was born June 27, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah and lived in West Valley City for 44 of his 59 short years. He was sealed to his high school sweetheart, Joyce Kay Lay on June 15, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a conscientious worker who believed in an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. He could often be found helping others pour cement, remodeling or building. He could repair anything, and spent many hours making our home a place of beauty. He was an active member of the Jordan North Second Ward, serving in many capacities. His favorites being the Ward librarian and being in charge of the irrigating for the stake farm. He appreciated his coworkers and considered them his friends.
He is survived by his sweetheart of 38 years and their nine terrific children and 16 precious grandchildren: Jana (Howard) Johnson, Amy,
Breanna, Seth, Grant, West Valley; Michelle (Bruce) Williams, Abigail, Rachel, Matthew, West Jordan; Kathleen (John) Lowe, Alexis, Tayler, Kylie, Ogden; James (Anna), Connie, Charla, West Valley; Marlene (Shad) Roundy, Mikayla, Jennalynn; Jolene (Travis) Mulford, Ashlyn, Cas; Jonny, Kevin, and Jessica, West Valley; mother, Helen, West Valley; brothers and sisters: Delmar (Sue), Bountiful; Beverly (Kirk) David, West Valley; Raymond, Murray; Ronald (Christie), West Valley; Connie (Merlin) Barnhurst, Riverton; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his father, C Donald Pease, his infant daughter Charla Kay and grandparents Marvin and Lettie Hill and Alford and Clara Pease.
We will miss you "Papa", until we meet again. Families can be together forever.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 17, 2001 at 12 noon at the Jordan North 2nd Ward 4270 South 4145 West. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
