CLEVELAND — Randy Wittman was fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, hours after he completed his second season with yet another loss. His team's lost 102 games in two dismal seasons.

"As much as I am concerned about the number of games we lost, I was more concerned about how we lost them," general manager Jim Paxson said.

Paxson said he and owner Gordon Gund had met in the past few days and had agreed on the firing. Paxson said he told Wittman earlier Thursday.
