Salt Lake-based FASRE Field Services Inc. said Friday that substantially all of its assets have been acquired by McCracken Financial Software Inc., a national property inspection firm.
McCracken also acquired FASRE's proprietary EnableUs technology platform that makes possible on-site inspections using handheld computers.
FASRE, with 50 employees, provides annual property inspections to the commercial mortgage servicing industry. It has performed residential and commercial inspections for mortgage servicers, life insurance companies, real estate investment trusts, commercial loan originators and servicers, public utilities and others for more than six years.
FASRE will operate as a McCracken subsidiary from its offices at 1939 S. 300 West. Senior vice president Sam Larsen said FASRE is "poised to hire needed employees and obtain resources necessary for growth."
McCracken, based in Billerica, Mass., is a wholly owned subsidiary of GMAC Commercial Holding Corp.
