University of Utah computer science student Evan Farrer looks at his digital photograph during a high-tech demonstration Thursday. Students displayed a variety of software projects they had created, ranging from a virtual aquarium to an electronic shopping mall and a battleship game. Some of the software was designed to be used with handheld devices and pocket computers instead of regular-size PCs. One student created a virtual wallet, and another displayed software that students could use to download a final exam, take the test and turn in the results.
