- Lucille Bacon Hill, age 88, passed away Friday April 6, 2001 in West Jordan, Utah.
She was born March 9, 1913 in Georgetown, ID a daughter of Frank Wilber and Grace Smart Bacon. She married Jerry W. Hill in Boise, ID Jan 24, 1934. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, July 25, 1935.
Lucille was reared and educated in Idaho. They made their home in Logan, UT. She was a member of the LDS Church and held many positions, but her greatest joy came as an ordinance
worker in the Logan LDS Temple. She was recognized as a youth speaker throughout the area. Lucille loved to write histories of the church and of her family. She was a very compassionate person and had many, many friends. She counseled many young people with problems. She loved music.
Surviving are three children, JoAnne (Gerald) Thomson, Layton, Judith (Richard) Willits, Sandy, Scott (Noelle) Hill, West Jordan; one brother, David Bacon, Sandy; four sisters, Janice Solum, GA; Bernice Bartschi, Verna Sparks, both of St. George, Evelyn Hansen, Logan; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchil-dren; and three great great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Christine; grandson, Jay Thomson; and two sisters, Edith Bacon, Nina Stuart.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. April 10, 2001, Layton 26th Ward chapel, 2160 W. Gordon, Alan L. Thomson, officiating. Friends and family will meet 9-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, Logan City Cemetery, 1:30 p.m. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary.
