FAIRFIELD, CA-<! > On May 4, 2001 funeral services were held for John Anthony (Tony) Varoz, 17, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
John Varoz died unexpectedly on Monday April 30, 2001 at the North Bay Medical Center in Fairfield, CA.
A native of Salt Lake City, he lived in Fairfield for 12 years. He was a student at Fairfield High School and a member of the Fairfield High Jazz Band, Concert Band, and the Scarlet Brigade Marching Band. He was active in Judo at Solano College. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and his great sense of humor.
Survivors include his parents, Daniel A. and Diane O. Varoz of Fairfield; sister, Joli D. Varoz of Salt Lake City; maternal grandmother Alice Olson of Salt Lake City; paternal grandparents, John and Tillie Villa of Salt Lake City; aunts and uncles, Devin and Marci Villa, Gary and Shelly Olson, Kathy and Ray Snyder, Jean and Steve Ferguson, all of Salt Lake City, Larry and Nina Olson of Taylor, Linda and Jack Hale of Ogden, Jim and Vickie Olson of Wellsville, and Barbara and George McNerney of Orange, CA as well as his great-aunts and uncles and many cousins.
