BRIGHAM CITY - <! > Our sweet wife, mother, and friend, unexpectedly returned to Heavenly Father Wed. May 9, 2001.
She was born Jan 29, 1952, in Buffalo, NY, the fifth of six children and one foster child of Leslie Carlton Beale Sr., and Edith Pearl LaGrou. She grad-uated from Alfred University with a bachelor's degree in nursing in 1974, and was commissioned an officer in the US Army Nursing Corps, serving for seven years at Walter Reed, Fitzsimmons, and FT. Rucker Army Hospitals, attaining the rank of major.
Lisë moved to Boulder, CO in 1976, and married Edward Robert Fuchs. They had four children there; Jennifer Mary (who died in infancy), Dustin Edward, Trevor Robert, and Elysha Lauren Fuchs. She was later married to Carl E. Holt, MD, and in 1996 to Gary L. Heaston, PA-C, in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a registered nurse and nursing administrator at local hospitals and clinics, including Brigham City Hospital, Ogden FHP Clinic, davis Hospital, and McKay-Dee Hospital, where patients and professional staff appreciated her many talents and compassionate ways. She served as local chairman of the American Red Cross in Brigham City, and in several church positions, including Young Wo-men leader, Relief Society instructor and chorister, camp specialist, Sunday School teacher, and stake missionary. She loved her children, her Savior, her husband, her sisters and brothers and extended family, her friends and her work. She enjoyed flowers, music, little children, pets, her home, streams and forests, photography, reading, family history, scrapbooking, and all beautiful things. She was the consum-mate school and hockey mom for her children, and they have excelled in their respective talents under her loving care.
Lisë was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Georgia; brothers, John Henry, Terry; and infant daugh-ter, Jennifer. She is survived by her three children; husband; his seven living children; six grandchildren; sisters, Loreley (Charles) Tredo, Plano, TX, Laine (Jim) Podhorsky, O'Fallon, MO, brother, Rev. Leslie (Janet) Beale, retired pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Manhattan Beach, CA; countless family and friends. We will all miss her greatly until we meet again in God's good time.
Services will be Wed. May 16, 11 a.m. at the Brigham City LDS 9th Ward Chapel, 236 E. 100 S. Friends and family may call at the Gillies-Peterson Funeral Chapel, 643 E 200 S Tues. 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wed 10-10:30 a.m.
