Lloyd Jay Jensen, 87, died peacefully at his home following a long illness. He was born June 26, 1913 in Mount Pleasant, Utah to Louis W. and Elizabeth Johansen Jensen. He married Nancy Aaron on November 25, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
They first lived in Tooele and Salt Lake City where Lloyd was an accountant for 17 years at Combined Metals. He was then comptroller for Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage for 10 years and was involved in numerous business and real estate interests in Los Angeles and Utah.
He remained faithful as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in numerous positions and as a temple worker.
One of his great joys came in publishing a book entitled "It's Still Common Sense". This gave him the opportunity to share his philosophy and "grandpa stories" to countless groups of troubled youth and adults along the Wasatch front.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Nancy, children; Jay Lynn (Terri) of Provo, Utah, Lloyd Bruce (Christine) Jensen of Kaysville, UT. Gary Louis Jensen of Westlake Village, CA, Stephen Aaron (Ardyth) Jensen of Burbank, CA, and Janis (Judd) Shafer of Tempe, AZ, 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
