Jane Fonda has been granted a divorce from Ted Turner, formally ending their 10-year marriage, a lawyer for Fonda said Tuesday.

Judge Gail Tusan of Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta issued a divorce decree a month after Fonda filed for divorce, said lawyer John Mayoue.

Fonda, who won best actress Oscars for "Klute" and "Coming Home," married the CNN founder in December 1991. They were Atlanta's royal couple for gossip magazines but separated more than a year ago.

"I feel sadness," the 63-year-old actress said in a statement read by Mayoue.

"We shared 10 years together and I will always care for him. Now it's time to move on and I wish him well," added Fonda.

Fonda's filing gave no reasons for the divorce other than saying the marriage was "irretrievably broken" with no hope of reconciliation.

Turner, 62, said recently that Fonda's decision to become a Christian was a major reason for their break-up. "It was a shock," said Turner.
