Ruth Sperry Clayton, 89, died June 10, 2001 in Bountiful, Utah. Born June 25, 1911, in Nephi, Utah to George A. Sperry and Maude Belliston Sperry. Married Joseph Andrew Clayton Dec. 25, 1931.

Ruth graduated with honors from the Nephi High School and attended L.D.S. Business college and the University of Utah. She was a very devoted 50 year member of Bountiful Community Church, having served in may capacities including local and state president of The Women's Fellowship. She was a charter member and past president of Chapter W, P.E.O. Sisterhood and a pink lady at Lakeview Hospital for many years.

She loved her family, many friends, and home. Ruth and her husband had lovely rose gardens which they delighted in sharing with their many friends. Ruth's husband Jack died in March of 1996 after 64 years of happy life together.

She is survived by her daughters, Joan Reid of Bountiful; Carolyn Cahn and husband Dan of Camarillo, California; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Andrew Cahn; one sister, Virginia Randle, of Eureka; brother, George Sperry and wife Lucille of Bountiful and many friends.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday June 13, 2001 at noon at Bountiful Community Church, 150 N. 400 E., Bountiful. Private Graveside services will be held at Lakeview Memorial Estates. Funeral directors Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary.

We will miss her.
