With his loving family in attendance on June 19, 2001, Mark returned home to his Heavenly Father.
He was born September 2, 1947 to Joe Ann and Howard Smith. They raised and educated him in Bountiful, Utah. Mark served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves and received a U. of U. Bachelor's degree. For 27 years he was employed by the State as a youth guidance counselor. During his life Mark enjoyed golf, baseball, wrestling, fencing and hunting. He has also been very involved with many of the more aesthetic interests such as detailed woodwork, oil painting and poetry.
Mark is survived by his two children, Bryan (Angie) and Tonya (Darren) Smith Johnson; his parents, brother Wade (Shelley) and two sisters, Christine (Rowland) Francom and Merlyn (Steve) Allred. He has seven beautiful grandchildren.
Indeed his life is done, and his victories are all won; and now time for rest. . . .May God Bless.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2001 at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. The graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2001 at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
